Who processes your data

What we process and why

When you email or call us

Data
Name, email, phone number, company and the content of your message.
Purpose
Answering your enquiry, preparing a proposal and discussing a project.
Legal basis
Steps prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). For other enquiries, our legitimate interest in replying to you (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Retention
For as long as we are in discussion. If we work together, for the duration of the contract and the limitation periods. Accounting and tax records are kept for the period required by law.

Running and securing the website

Data
IP address, time of the request, requested page and browser details in the server logs.
Purpose
Delivering the pages, protecting against attacks and fixing errors.
Legal basis
Our legitimate interest in running the website securely (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Retention
Only as long as needed to secure the website. The logs are kept by our hosting provider.

Your cookie choice

Data
Whether you accepted or rejected statistics, and when.
Where
Only in your browser. It is not sent to our server.
Purpose
Remembering your choice so we do not ask on every page.
Legal basis
We could not respect your choice without storing it, so this needs no consent (Section 89(3) of the Czech Electronic Communications Act).
Retention
12 months, then we ask again.

Visit statistics (Matomo)

Data
Pages viewed, time and length of the visit, where you came from (a link or a search engine), clicks on links to other websites and downloaded files, language, device type, operating system, browser and screen resolution. We use your IP address to find your country and city, but store it only with the last two bytes removed. A random identifier in a cookie tells us whether you have visited before.
Where
On our own server, stats.gkservis.com, hosted by WEDOS in the Czech Republic. We do not share the data with anyone else.
Purpose
Finding out how many people visit the website, where they come from and what interests them, so we can improve it.
Legal basis
Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 89(3) of the Czech Electronic Communications Act). Without consent, nothing is measured. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we do not measure your visit even with consent.
Retention
Records of individual visits are deleted after 12 months. Only summary reports remain, such as the number of visits per month, which no longer lead back to individual visitors.

Visit recordings (Inspectlet)

Data
A record of your visit: mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and pages viewed, device and browser type, IP address.
Purpose
Understanding how visitors use the website so we can improve it.
Legal basis
Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 89(3) of the Czech Electronic Communications Act). Without consent, nothing is recorded.
Retention
As set in the service, for no longer than 12 months.

Providing your data is voluntary, but without contact details we cannot reply to you. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

Who processes data on our behalf

These processors handle data only for the purposes above:

  • WEDOS Internet, a.s., Czech Republic: website hosting and delivery (CDN), and the server our Matomo statistics run on.
  • Google Ireland Limited, Ireland: email (Google Workspace).
  • Inspectlet, USA: visit recordings, only with your consent.

Transfers outside the EU

Google may also process data in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has found to provide adequate protection. Inspectlet processes data in the USA under a data processing agreement with the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses (Article 46 GDPR). We will send you a copy of the clauses on request.

Cookies

Without your consent, the website sets no cookies. Your choice, and whether you paused the animations, is kept only in your browser’s storage. Matomo and Inspectlet cookies are set only after you accept statistics. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with , which is also in the footer of every page. If you withdraw it, we delete these cookies.

  • gk-consent (browser storage, 12 months): your choice.
  • gk-motion-paused (browser storage, until you delete it): whether you paused the animations.
  • _pk_id.* (Matomo, 13 months): a random identifier that tells us you have visited before.
  • _pk_ses.* (Matomo, 30 minutes): links the pages of one visit.
  • _pk_ref.* (Matomo, 6 months): where you came to the website from.
  • __insp_* (Inspectlet, cookies for 12 months and an entry in browser storage): visitor and visit identifiers and your landing page, for the recording.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing and to data portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing before the withdrawal. Just email gkservis@gkservis.com.

If you believe we handle your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Czech data protection authority, Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, Pplk. Sochora 727/27, 170 00 Praha 7, uoou.gov.cz.
